'Agricultural Devices' were in use by 1810 when Lord Auckland ordered in London a service with 'Barley pattern and Agricultural Devices'. In September, 1813 London 'Orders U' (MS 140-28570) had listed 'Marchioness of Blandford Agricultural Devices 4 Breakfast cups & saucers, 6 Teacups & saucers, 6 Coffee cans - not too large, 1 Muffin plate & cover. To be sent by coach as soon as possible - The subjects to be varied as much as possible.' Further orders occur in 1815 for 'CC Agricultural Devices' e.g. Orders U.15.12.1815 (MS 141-2874) from York Street for one Mrs Stirling.'
