Chinese Cizhou type plaque

An image of Plaque. Cizhou type. In the middle there are two ducks on a pond, with a flowering plant to the left, surrounded by a circular scalloped border. The edge is mounted in copper. Oval label printed in black with a tower and 'Malcom Collection' and inscribed in blue-black ink 'D./63'. Circular inscribed in blue black ink '146'. Stoneware, decorated with painting in brown and turquoise green glaze. Reconstructed from three pieces. The glaze on both sides is degraded. Diameter 14.2 cm. Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368). Chinese. Acquisition Credit: Lent to the museum by Helen H. L. Whittow (nee Malcolm).
