Porcelain, thrown, painted in cobalt-blue and glazed. This hexagonal bottle has a long neck with slightly flaring mouth and a wide body which tapers towards the base; the footring is angular. The neck is painted on either end with key-fret borders, the shoulder with a band of lotus petals, and the six sides of the body with sprays of chrysanthemum, prunus, finger citron, camellia, peach and pomegranate. The cobalt painting is of light blue tone, the glaze is tinged with blue and evenly applied. The footring was placed on a sandy support during firing. On the base the character mok ('tree') was engraved in dots into the glaze after firing.
