Disc. These discs were carved from slices taken from a block. A hole was drilled in the middle from one side, so the diameter of the hole is not even. The edges of the slice jade were cut to form a round disc shape and ground. As a result, discs from this Qijia culture area occur in various shapes, including round and oval. This one remains unfinished and as a result has a squared-off appearance. Nephrite, unfinished disc, length 21.5 cm, diameter 6.1 cm, 2100-1600 B.C. Chinese.
