Trefid Spoon silver, parcel-gilt; oval bowl with rat-tail; flat handle with trefid terminal and applied filigree decoration Silver, parcel-gilt; the oval gilt bowl has on the back a long ribbed rat-tail. The handle curves up slightly from the bowl, but is otherwise flat and terminates in a trefid. The front and back of the gilt handle are covered with applied silver filigree ornament. Half way down the back of the handle is a filigree loop, so the spoon can be suspended. German C.1700-50
