Bowl. Pottery. “Bodiless” ware bowl, semi-ovoid, with an-hua decoration. Scratched mark of Yongle inside base. Firing cracks. Diameter 20.3 cm, 1402-1424. Inscription: mark; inside base; scratched; mark of Yongle; Possibly signifying that the bowl was made during the reign of the Yongle Emperor (1402-1424). Acquisition Credit: Lent to the museum by Helen H. L. Whittow (nee Malcolm).
