The front is decorated in the middle with a view of a saw-pit with two men at work, and a woman bringing a mug of beer. In the background there is an inn with the sign of a barrel . Below on the curved side is the name and date 'SAMUEL : ACOCKS/1772. The rim has border of stylized floral motifrs sprouting from a band of Chinese diaper ornament. The edge is brownish-red.</value>
