The ice-pail has a blue-scale ground, reserved with three panels of coloured flowers, framed by gilt rococo scrollwork, and separated by smaller panels; the cover is similarly decorated, and the interior of the gallery is gilt with a band of berried foliage; the handles, feet and finials are gilt; the liner is plain, but for a gilt-edge rim.
