On one side is the inscription 'Joseph Horsford/1744, divided by a flowering tree and a bird. There is a broad blue band round the foot. Inside the mouth there is a squirrel (or rat?) and vine border. The foot is encircled by a broad blue band between two narrow, and the backs of the handles are decorated with a continuous scroll pattern.
