An image of Street Cook standing beside Stove. Bow Porcelain Manufactory, Essex. Kaendler, Johann Joachim, modeller, derived from (German, 1706-1775). Reinicke, Peter, modeller, derived from (German, 1715-1768). Huet, Christophe, after (French, op.1735-m.1759). Soft-paste porcelain containing bone ash, press-moulded, and painted overglaze in polychrome enamels, height, whole, 15.6 cm, depth, base, 7.0 cm, front to back, circa 1756-1760. Rococo. Production Note: This cook was copied from a Meissen model by Peter Reinicke after one of a series of coloured drawings of the 'Cries of Paris' commissioned by J.J. Kaendler from the French artist, Christophe Huet (1700-59), and executed in 1753.
