Sugar bowl and cover. Cauliflower sugar basin. Wedgwood, Josiah, attributed but doubtful. Staffordshire Pottery. Of Chinese covered tea bowl form, moulded to resemble a cauliflower, the convex cover (A) with six leaves radiating from the shallow cauliflower knob. Cream earthenware, press-moulded, slip-cast and decorated with green and yellowish cream lead-glazes. The base inside the footring is only partially glazed. Height, whole, 10 cm, diameter, whole, 11.5 cm, circa 1759-1775. Rococo.
