Silver straining spoon, by Claude Jouguet

The bowl is pierced with a lozenge of quatrefoils surrounded by scrolls within a dot and dash border. The back of the handle is engraved with a crest of a bird. Silver, the spoon was forged, the bowl was pierced, and the crest engraved, length, overall, 31.3 cm, weight, whole, 154 g, 1738-1739. Louis XV.
