Saucer (B), bone china, circular with recessed centre. Decorated on the upper side with a wide turquoise blue band, with sgrafitto design of two streamers. Gold band encircles the blue towards the rim, gold spots inside one streamer. One streamer finished in black. Flat within gutter inside footrim. Susie Cooper produced 40 place settings of this complex design with hand-painted gold detailing for the Royal Pavilion at the Festival of Britain 1951, and additional shapes were made for the Festival itself.
