Textiles/embroidery/purse. Worked with polychrome silks, gilt and silver threads in couching, buttonhole and plaited braid stitches with woven bosses; 8 vertical compartments, each containing a long spray with circular stems bearing various flowers (cornflower, rose, strawberry). Gathered at the bottom, drawstring missing, handle of plaited silk attached by Turks head knots of silver cord lined with green silk. Height, whole, 3.25 in, width, whole, 2.75 in, after 1601 to before 1700. English.
