Studio Ceramics. Esker Vessel. Flynn, Sara (Irish, b.1971). Short vessel with teardrop-shaped opening at the top. The thrown vessel has been squeezed to form a sharp spine from the point of the teardrop to the base. Spray glazed inside and out to give a bronze-like surface. The underside is flat and unglazed. White porcelain, thrown and altered, spray glazed and polished. Height, 14 cm, width, 15.5 cm, depth, 11 cm, circa 2013. Acquisition Credit: Gift of Nicholas and Judith Goodison through The Art Fund.
