CONTENTS: fols. 4r-5r Capitula fols. 12r-22v Statutes of the Guild of the Sonadori up to 14 March 1476 fols. 22v- 171 Additions from 1478, 1480, 1491 and successive additions dated up to 1805 on added leaves DECORATION: Two full-page miniatures within simple gold frames surrounded by full borders of painted flowers and spraywork: fol. 10v Crucifixion with the Virgin and St John at the foot of the Cross against a background of a turreted city and blue sky with gold foliate highlighting; fol. 11r The Virgin (patron of the guild) within a mandorla on a silver crescent moon with gold sun rays being crowned by Christ, the mandorla supported by a crowd of red and brightly coloured angels, some blowing horns. ORNAMENTATION: Two red and blue parted initials with pen flourishing of foliate motifs in red and pink with yellow wash, extending to form partial borders: fol. 12r [A, 4 ll.] and fol. 13r [I, 9 ll.]; alternate red and blue initials [2 ll.] with pink or red pen flourishing for chapter divisions; blue initial [2 ll.] with red pen flourishing for the start of the Capitula; Capitula written in red with blue paraph marks for each chapter heading; first letter after parted initials highlighted in yellow.
