Egyptian limestone sculptor's model of a king's head

Image attached to E.GA.91.1949

An image of Figure/Statue. A Sculptor's Model. King's head, wearing nemes and uraeus (cobra), broken off at neck, roughly finished surface. Production Place/Find Spot: Egypt. Limestone, carved. Late Period-Ptolemaic. Production Note: Rulers of Dynasty 30 and the Ptolemaic period used this 'portrait type'. The continuation was probably a deliberate attempt to associate the new Greek rulers with the last Egyptian dynasty.
