A real lace border is stitched around the card on both recto and verso. A pink ribbon with a textile pink rose on a stem is tied through the card at centre left. 'To my Valentine' is embossed in pink glossy ink at lower right and printed in gold ink at lower left: 'FAIR DAYS / to you.'. Inside, a double sheet of cream wove paper is tied into the card with the pink ribbon. On the left-hand inside page: a lithographed image of a dove in flight holding a valentine with two hearts pierced with an arrow; On the right-hand inside page, a lithographed verse: 'WITH MY LOVE / TO MY LOVE / I'd strew rose petals for your feet. / If I might be your Valentine ; / And all the treasures earth conceals, / And all the light the morn reveals, / And all the love that makes life sweet, / Across your pathway they would shine - / If you were but my Valentine!'. The card on the verso is speckled with gold ink. Printed on the verso: 'Raphel Tuck & Sons, Ltd. / Publishers to the King and Queen / Copyright London. / PRODUCED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM / The Lacette Series'.
