The bowl is circular with deep curved sides and an everted rim, and stands on three hoofed feet. The sides are decorated with three applied motifs of foliage flanking a flower, and with groups of three white slip spots. There is a yellow slip spiral on the base, and a yellow slip band round the rim. The cover is domed with a narrow border and a flange underneath to fit inside the bowl. On top it has three C-scroll handles, and a central dome-shaped finial. The handles are edged with small dots of white slip flanking pairs of manganese-lines. Between the volutes there are swags of beading painted in white slip and green. A pale yellow slip band encircles the outer edge.
