The bowl stands on a footring, and has deep curved sides and horizontal lugs. The glaze and colour have run into a dark pool on the interior. The circular cover has a serrated upstanding edge, and a flat, undecorated underside. The pierced wall is domed and has an upstanding circle of adjacent volutes around the openwork double bun shaped knob The glaze and colour has pooled within the volutes.
