The tureen has deep curved sides and two moulded and applied horizontal fan-shaped handles situated close to the rim. The domed cover has a narrow border, with a flange underneath which fits inside the rim of the bowl. The knob is in the shape of a footed salver with a beaded edge and has a small domed finial in the middle. In the base of the bowl, and in the middle of the underside of the cover, there is an incised floral spray painted in green and yellow and in dark brown slip.
