The outside is polished; the interior is multifaceted with a rough surface; the walls are thick with an indented rim around the mouth to hold the insert; the underside is flat, circular and polished. The insert is a smooth, flat disc, with an off-centre circular hole, coloured with irregular, roughly concentric bands of fused opaque grey, blue, turquoise, pink and red glass.
