Cameo bust of an angel in profile to the left with the index finger of its left hand raised, mounted in gold and surrounded by a border of four strands of gold ropework; pin-fastening across the back. In original red leather case (A), the lid of which is lined with white silk, printed in blue with the maker's name and adress: 'PARIS FIRST CLASS & LONDON PRIZE MEDALS/Watherston & Brogden/ Goldsmiths/ MANUFACTORY/16 Henrietta St/Covent Garden.WC/LONDON'. Gold, shell, height 7.21 cm, width 5.9 cm, 1862-1864. Victorian. Acquisition Credit: Given by Mrs J. Hull Grundy.
