Production Notes: carved in relief the form of a winged figure of the Archangel Michael, armed with plumed helmet and breastplate, and billowing cloak. He holds the orb and cross in his left hand, and brandishes his sword in his right as he prepares to decapitate the Devil, who lies cuved round his feet with goat's legs and horned head, crowned with a snake. On the the back in two places is the setting for a pin or attachment to something else.
