Sauce boat. MH, silversmith, Ireland, Dublin. Oval with wavy edged border; the sides embossed and chased with scrolls, flowers and foliage on a matted ground (later decorated); a vacant cartouche under the lip; standing on three cast scroll legs with trefoil capitals, knuckles, and hoof feet, with leaf-capped double scroll flying handle. Silver, height, to top of handle, 9.3 cm, width, from lip to handle, 14 cm, weight, overall, 164 g, circa 1900, no date letter. Rococo Revival.
