Netsuke/katabori. Daruma and dog. Wood and ivory, carved and stained. Figure group of Daruma enveloped in his cloak, open-mouthed with a worried expression on his face, his right arm resting on his rounded stomach. A dog with a curly tail and wearing a coat stands at his left side, his left hand holds the dog's collar. A circular ivory disc is attached to the base. Crudely carved. Himotoshi at the back. Wood, ivory, carved and stained, height 4.2 cm, width 3.4 cm, 1800-1868. Edo Period (1615-1868). Japanese.
