White jade carved in low relief and defined by a relief frame that imitates the wooden frames seen in furniture and architecture. On one side a man holding a long stick who can be identified as the famous poet Tao Yuanming (365 - 427), by the poem on the reverse. On the reverse a poem with the signature of the famous Ming jade carver, Lu Zigang. Nephrite, length, 5.6 cm, width, 3.6 cm, 1600-1700. Chinese.
