English silk taffeta apron with flowers

A border with flower sprays, or moss with tiny flowers, alternately. Silk taffeta, worked with gold and silver thread and coloured silks in couching, French knots and satin stitches. Length, whole, 19.25 in, width, whole, 40.25 in, circa 1700-circa 1749. English.
