The footring is very shallow. The eight-petalled lid has a (replaced) lotus-bud knob accompanied by applied stem and leaves. A band of petal panels is incised at the mouth and one of lotus petals at the base, each lobe shows a delicate spray of lotus, and a large lotus leaf is incised on the spout. The cover is incised with a classic-scroll border. The glaze is of pale bluish-green jade colour, thickly applied and glossy, and on the ewer partly discoloured.
