Letter from the Proconsul of Achaea, Quintus Fabius Maximus, to the Council of Dyme in Achaea. Production Place: Greece, Peloponnese. Limestone, carved, 200-101 B.C. Hellenistic Period. Notes: It records his judgement against Sosos and his accomplices who burnt the public records in protest at the constitution imposed by the Romans after the defeating the Achaean League. Undated but Proconsuls of this name served in the years 145, 142, 121 and 116 BC. On loan to the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, from Trinity College.
