  • Illuminated manuscript. Fragment. Border fragment from the Missal of Cardinal Antoniotto Pallavicini. Production Place: Italy, Rome. Parchment, gold, pasted on cardboard, 242 x 50 mm, circa 1492. DECORATION: Vertical border consisting of flowers, acanthus and jewels on gold ground, and including a cameo of Diomedes and the Palladium and a medallion with two saints holding books, one of them with a club.
