Chinese bronze Li tripod vessel

An image of Vessel. 'Li', tripod vessel. With an uneven green patina with traces of red. Tri-lobed body with hollow legs, slightly everted rim, and two twisted cord handles. Below the rim there are two narrow bands of geometric ornament with traces of black pigment. Oval label printed in black with a tower and 'Malcolm Collection', inscribed in blue black ink 'A.8'. Bronze, traces of pigment, patina, height 15 cm, width 13.6 cm. Zhou Dynasty (1050-771 BC). Chinese. Acquisition Credit: Lent to the museum by Helen H. L. Whittow (nee Malcolm).
