Textiles. Whitework sampler. Slade, Ursula (English). The sampler is almost square in shape and is made up of inserted panels of hollie point and needle lace, neatly divided and bordered by repeat patterns in counted satin stitch. The sampler carries the inscription 'VrsVla/Slade' in the middle right panel. Linen embroidered with linen thread in satin and back stitch with hollie point and needle lace insertions. All the edges are hemmed. Length 21.75 cm, width 21 cm, 1728.
