The pot has a bulbous body, rising from a disk base, a slightly concave sided neck with a projecting rim at the top, an upward curving spout, and a loop handle with a cylindrical pewter mount at the top to which is attached the thumbpiece and cover. Both sides of the bulbous part of the pot are decorated with formal flowering plants and flowers, and with a wreath of leaves around the junction of the body and spout, which is partly striped. On the shoulder there is a row of leaves pointing downwards, and on the neck above, a floral spray above the spout, dividing the words of the inscription 'Babra Here/Im 1754 Jah'. The whole surface is streaked in blue and manganese-purple with a little green, under the lead-glaze. The base is undecorated.
