Soft-paste porcelain decorated with pale yellow ground colour, painting in blue, green, yellow, shades of pink enamels, mauve, and purple enamel, and gilding. Ovoid body has a gently curving spout and ear-shaped handle, and the cover has a knob in the shape of a fruit and three leaves on a twig. There are three spur marks on the base. The top and bottom of the body have a yellow border painted in polychrome with roses, pansies and borage (?) flowers. Above the upper border there is a garland of leaves. On each side of the pot, between the borders, there is a bouquet of the same flowers enclosed in an oval garland of leaves and berries, tied at the top with a mauve ribbon with a gold disc in the centre. The remainder of the body is strewn with cornflowers. The spout is decorated with a spray of dark pink roses, and with a garland of leaves at the junction with the body and round below the end. The cover has a garland of leaves round the knob and a yellow border en suite with those on the pot. There are gold bands round the foot, the junction of the spout and body, and the edge of the cover; and dentilated bands round the inside of the neck, and the tip of the spout. The handle has gold lines down its sides and husks and dots down its back. The knob is entirely gilt.
