Crouching figure of a rat catcher with a cunning expression on his face, wearing a loin cloth and holding his box trap; the rat sits on his right shoulder. Natural himotoshi formed by his arms and legs. Ivory, carved and stained, height, whole, 3.7 cm, width, whole, 3.4 cm, circa 1800. Edo Period (1615-1868).
