An image of Album. Flower drawings. Anemone pulsatilla, Primula veris (Cowslip) and a butterfly (Cabbage white?). Unknown French draughtsman. Watercolour and some bodycolour on vellum tipped in on album sheet, height 245 mm, width 175 mm, circa 1750. Notes: Containing 44 drawings on vellum, tipped in on the pages of an album bound in red leather tooled in gilt. The pages are grey rough paper with white interleaves and multi-coloured end-papers. Each drawing is contained by ruled margins coloured in gold and red.
