Gobelet litron/cup. Sèvres Porcelain Manufactory. Asselin, Charles Eloi (painter, probably, French, 1742-1803). Hard-paste porcelain painted in polychrome enamels with a chinoiserie scene of two boys fighting, and gilded with fantastic birds in a pointillé ground. The handle is entirely gild. Height, cup, 5.9 cm, width, cup, 7.8 cm; diameter, rim of cup, 5.9 cm, diameter, base of cup, 5.6 cm, circa 1775-1776. French. Rococo, Chinoiserie. Louis XVI.
