Architectural element/stelae. Round topped, two dogs, recumbent, inscribed. This votive relief was dedicated in honour of the cult of the Emperor Nero. The upper section of the stela is carved in an Egyptian style and the inscription is in Greek, the official language of Egypt during the Ptolemaic and Roman periods. Limestone, depth 3.6 cm, height 24.9 cm, width 14.7 cm, A.D. 54 - 68. Find Spot: Egypt-Nubia. Production Place: Egypt. Ptolemaic.
