Production Place: Italy, Rome. Parchment, gold, 99 x 146 mm, two segments pasted together on a nineteenth-century cardboard mount, circa 1484 to circa 1492.
DECORATION: Two corner-pieces from an historiated border, St Luke on left, St Matthew on right, each seated at their desk between classical pilasters with swags and accompanied by their attributes, two plaques in painted gold, one on each of the outer pilasters, bearing text INNOCENT and PAPA.VIII (possibly later additions).
