Boat-shaped dish. Whitford, Samuel II, silversmith, England, London. Formed as a clinker-built ship on water, with a cast model of a mermaid at the prow and, at the stern, a cast model of a swan with neck arched to form a handle. Silver, the sides of the boat cast and the cast swan and mermaid applied, length, overall, 19 cm, weight, whole, 450 g, 1817-1818.
