  • Illuminated manuscript. Cutting. Fragment of a Book of Hours (leaf from FM 54). Use of Sarum. Production Place: Flanders, Bruges, possibly Bruges. Parchment, gold, 163 x 109 (110 x 65) mm, 20 long lines, ruled in ink, circa 1480 to circa 1490. CONTENTS: Hours of the Virgin; beginning of Prime. 1 three-quarter page miniature (verso; Christ before Herod (?Pilate)) in gold and pink frame and full acanthus border with foliate motifs, decorated initial [6 l.] in pink with white on gold with foliate decoration, bright red rubrication.
