  <description>
    <value>fritware, wheel thrown, coated in a white, crazed or blue glaze painted with lustre or brown paint
Shape: slightly convex body ascending via a carination to a slightly inverted rim. Sits on a low, wide foot ring.
Interior: a lustre-coloured band is painted on the rim; blue pigment from the exterior runs onto the interior rim surface. On the body, reserved on a lustre-coloured ground, a peacock decorated with dots, lines and scrolls is painted on a background of scrolling palmettes and half palmettes.
Exterior: a thin line of lustre is visible on the rim and accidentally applied dashes or dots of lustre are visible on the body. Blue glaze covers the lower body unevenly, with pitting on the lower section and running onto the foot ring.</value>
