An image of Stained Glass / Roundel. The Triumph of Chastity Over Love. Style of Pieter Coecke van Aelst (c.1502-1550), probably from his workshop or that of a glass painter influenced by him. Production Place: Flanders, Antwerp. Clear glass, silver-stained and painted, yellow and brown with border of blue glass, diameter, whole, 32.0 cm. Circa 1540-1550. Flemish, Renaissance. Notes: Chastity sits in a golden car drawn by two unicorns over the prostrate bodies of Venus and Cupid. She carries a palm, as do the five women in the landscape background and the man and woman following the car.
