Grey-brown (drab) smear-glazed stoneware, thrown and turned, with moulded handle and spout and applied white reliefs, the interior white-slipped and clear-glazed. Globular body standing on a foot-rim; short, cylindrical neck with curved spout; double-curved handle. The spout is moulded with foliage in relief, which extends down the body beneath it. There is similar foliage at the junctions of the ends of the handle with the body. The body is decorated with white reliefs as follows: on each side of the neck a horizontal spray of foliage and flowers; on one side of the body three putti at target practice while another flies overhead; on the other side, a seated and a standing putto being drawn in a chariot by two greyhounds, one of which is mounted by a putto.
