Studio Ceramics. Footed stoneware bowl decorated underglaze with an iron black flower in the centre, and two fish in the cavetto. Production Place: Thailand. Very pale green degraded glaze. Light buff body with small dark specks. Three circumferential lines below the rim on the outside. The remains of the cylindrical pontil lie within the foot ring, which has perhaps shrunk on the pontil in the firing. 1300-1499. Acquisition: Dr John Shakeshaft Bequest.
