The Blue Dress. Steer, Philip Wilson (British, 1860-1942). Oil on canvas, height, canvas, 91.5 cm, width, canvas, 70.5 cm; height, frame, 109.5 cm, width, frame, 89.5 cm, depth, frame, 8.5 cm, 1892. Though dated 1892, the picture appears to have been started in 1891. Production Note: The sitter was a well-known model named Rose Pettigrew, much employed by Steer.
