    <value>Slip-coated earthenware painted with flowers and foliage in cream slip and coloured in blue, green, yellow underglaze</value>
  </description>
  <description>
    <value>Earthenware, thrown with applied handle and spout, coated in pale brown slip, and decorated in cream slip, partially coloured in blue, green, and yellow under clear glaze, The teapot stands on a footring. It has a depressed globular body with a short neck, an upward curving spout and a strap handle with a slight thumb rest near the top. The circular cover is pierced by a circular ventilation hole and has a cone-shaped knob. The sides, spout, and top of the lid are decorated with eidelweiss, lilies of the valley, gentian and other Swiss flowers painted in cream slip, and slips coloured blue, green, and yellow. Round the junction of the shoulder and neck there is a border of blue leaves, and on the neck a cream band with slanting stems bearing two leaves repeated around it. Down the back of the handle yellow trefoil flowers alternate with pairs of green leaves, and cream lines with short projecting strokes run down both sides.</value>
