The circular saucer has sloping sides, and flat central area. The upper part of the cup is decorated with a border composed of feathers, acanthus, paterae, husks, and swags of trefoil leaves. Below, there are alternating gold sprigs and discs. There are gold bands round the rim and base, lines down the sides of the handle, and a spray of leaves down its back. The saucer is decorated en suite, with a patera in the centre, and has a gold band round the rim.
