The vase has a pear-shaped body laterally compressed and moulded on the front with a rococo-scrolled panel with a grotesque mask and ring at the bottom. This rests against the upper part of the oval base which is concave underneath. The upper part of the panel is decorated with a a flying bird and Chinese-style flowering plants, and the lower part with two ducks on a blue ground. The panel is edged by a blue line and with projecting sprigs of foliage and at the top has covered urn. The back of the vase is decorated with a spray of foliage with three stems, and there is a line around the edge of the base and sprays of foliage on either side of the ring at the base of the panel.
